Abhiram Dodda

I am a senior undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science and Engineering at Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology. Currently, I am a Data Science Intern at Captain Fresh, where I work with geospatial data to analyze and model the growth of shrimp in aquaculture ponds, aiming to improve yield prediction and decision-making in the seafood supply chain. Previously, I was a research intern at the International Institute of Information Technology, working in the DSAC Lab under the guidance of Prof. P. Krishna Reddy. My research there focused on information retrieval and the evaluation of word embeddings. I began my research journey as a research assistant under Prof. K. Anuradha, where I worked on Computer Vision, with a particular emphasis on medical image analysis and learning from images. These experiences have fueled my fascination with the dynamic field of Machine Learning. As an undergraduate researcher, I am actively exploring areas in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Optimization Techniques, which form the core of Machine Learning and foundational Artificial Intelligence.

I am deeply motivated by the need for efficient solutions in critical fields such as medicine, agriculture, and sustainable development, which are pivotal for building a better future. My research aims to develop scalable AI/ML-based solutions that address key issues with a broad societal impact. Looking ahead, I plan to further my research pursuits through graduate studies.
